Austin Air HealthMate + Plus air purifiers are recommended for those with allergies, asthma or for those with chemical sensitivities and would like to remove odours, gases, chemicals and VOCs (volatile organic compounds) such as benzene, wood smoke and formaldehyde from the air.  Each filter contains 15lbs (standard size air purifier) or 6.5lbs (junior size air purifier) of carbon and zeolite for chemical and odour removal and true medical-grade HEPA for absorption of gases.  The carbon in this filter is impregnated with potassium iodide for the removal of additional chemicals.

The included filter is designed to last up to five years in a residential setting.
