Environment Canada is warning that smoke from wildfires near Fort McMurray is heading to Saskatchewan today.
The smoke is expected to drift southeast into central and southern parts of the province by Sunday afternoon.
Communities around Saskatoon, Prince Albert, North Battleford, Humboldt, Kelvington, and La Loche are all under the alert.
People are being warned of poor air quality and reduced visibility. Those conditions are expected to deteriorate throughout the day.
Air quality should improve on Monday as winds shift to the south.
Children, seniors, and people with lung diseases are all advised to take care and avoid the smoke.
